Jason grew up loving Jesus and sitting under the teaching of Pastor Chuck Smith at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, where Jason was dedicated by Chuck as a baby, and baptized by Chuck as a teen. Jason later went off the rails as a teen, but got serious about Christ in his early 20's, and began attending Calvary Chapel Bible College in 2004.
His CCBC pastoral referral was written by Pastor Skip Heitzig. After spending almost a decade in the business world, God called Jason from Northern Idaho back to Calvary Chapel Bible College, where he first attended in 2004, and graduated from in 2017. This time his pastoral referral letter was from Pastor Dave Shirley, the president of Calvary Chapel Bible College and Jason's pastor when he attended Calvary Chapel Hot Springs over the years. After graduating with a degree in Biblical Studies from CCBC Murrieta in 2017, Jason and Marine were sent out as church planters from Calvary Chapel Hot Springs, under Pastor Jeremey Wilson. CCHS continued to support the Henrichsen family as missionaries from early 2018 until shortly after Calvary Chapel Hot Springs merged with Calvary Sunrise (in Murrieta) in 2021.
Marine is from France and fell in love with Jesus in her early 20's after meeting Jason. Marine is now a full-time homemaker & homeschool mom, teaches children's ministry and women's ministry, and can usually be found listening to old messages from Chuck & Kay Smith while working through an ever-growing pile of laundry and dirty dishes! In the rare event that they have some free time, the Henrichsen family enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, board games, and plinking!
